Lululemon Signs Up Leylah Fernandez Before Launch Of Tennis Line Of Apparel
Leylah Fernandez has been playing in Lululemon apparel for a few weeks. Today, Fernandez confirmed that she has a sponsorship contract with Lululemon and will become a global ambassador for the brand.
Lululemon plans to launch a tennis-specific apparel line soon and was looking to partner with someone big. Fernandez fit the bill well and the two sides agreed to a partnership deal.
Leylah Fernandez‘s other sponsors include Morgan Staley, Easy Post, Claro, Babolat, and Birchbox. She is represented in her business deals by GSE Worldwide.
Fernandez reached the finals at the 2021 US Open after beating three top-5 players on the way. Though she lost the final to Emma Raducanu, her popularity has been on the rise in Canada and around the world because she is only 19 and is a potential grand slam champion.
In 2019, Fernandez won the girls’ French Open title and became the first Canadian junior grand slam champion since Eugenie Bouchard won the junior Wimbledon title in 2012.
