Veronika Kudermetova’s Tatneft Logo Stirs Controversy

Veronika Kudermetova has signed a sponsorship with the Russian oil company Tatneft. She has been wearing the company’s logo on her shirt. Tatneft is Russia’s fifth-largest oil company.

Veronika Kudermetova was asked about her relationship with Tatneft. She said that she will remove the logo in the UK where she has signed a neutrality declaration but will continue to wear it elsewhere.

Kudermetova reached a career-high ranking of world number 9 in 2022. She has won one WTA title in her career. Her best grand slam result came at the 2022 French Open where she reached the quarterfinals. She is married to tennis coach Sergei Demekhine

Tatneft is one of the largest public companies in the world. The company is a vertically integrated oil and gas company that’s involved in the production of oil and gas, refining, and marketing.
