Poshmark Becomes Public Company, Serena Williams Adds Millions To Her Net Worth

Poshmark, a social commerce platform to buy and sell used goods, went public today. The stock was over 100% on its first day of trading. Serena Williams is on the Board of Directors of Poshmark. She joined the company’s Board in 2019.

Though Serena’s stake in the company is not publicly available, her Poshmark stocks are likely worth millions of dollars at its IPO. The company was valued at $3 billion prior to its IPO.

The company has more than 70 million users in the US and Canada. The company was co-founded by its CEO Manish Chandra. Other investors in the company include Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher and fashion-designer Rachel Zoe, and venture capital firms.

Serena Williams sold some items from her closet on Poshmark last year to raise money for charity.
