2023 was a break out year for Beatriz Haddad Maia. So it’s not surprising that she is on the cover of GQ magazine. GQ named her the “Woman of the Year”.

At the 2023 French Open, she reached the semifinals. She followed her French Open results at Wimbledon by reaching the fourth round. She reached her career-high singles ranking of world 10. She also reached the top 10 rankings in doubles. She is the first Brazilian woman to be ranked in the Top 10.

Tennis excellence is a family affair for Beatriz Haddad Maia. Her mother, Lais Scaff Haddad, and grandmother, Arlette Scaff Haddad, were standout tennis players in Brazil, laying the foundation for Beatriz’s remarkable journey in the sport.

Jack Sock And Laura Little Welcome Baby Boy

Jack Sock and his wife Laura Little welcomed a baby boy, Brody Bryan Sock, in November 2023. This is the couple’s first child.

Jack Sock retired from professional tennis in 2023 to focus on pickleball. He won 4 singles titles and 17 doubles titles in his career. He reached a peak singles ranking of world number 8 in 2017 but struggled with injuries after. He won the gold medal in mixed doubles and a bronze medal in men’s doubles at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Before he turned to pickleball full-time, he played mixed doubles with world number one Anna Leigh Waters win the mixed doubles title at the PPA North Carolina Open.
