Roberto Bautista Agut’s Son Runs To Meet Him In Court

Roberto Bautista Agut is having a great run at the Qatar Open where just reached the final. In his first two rounds, he lost a total of 3 games. But his greatest moment at the tournament came when his toddler Mini Rober got through a dozen security guards to reach Bautista Agut while he was giving an on-court interview.

Bautista Agut  has talked about how becoming a dad was one of the most satisfying things in his life. He has said that becoming a father helped him recover the bond he lost when his parents died.

Of course, there are many days when I think about them and the truth is, it’s been really hard. But tennis has taught me to keep fighting, to get up after the bad times, so that’s exactly what I did.

Roberto Bautista Agut reached his best ranking of world number 9 in 2019. His best grand slam result came at Wimbledon where he reached the semifinals in 2019. He was part of Spain’s Davis Cup team that won the 2019 title.

Stefan Kozlov Damages Sponsor’s Car Parked In Court

Stefan Kozlov accidentally hit a car that was parked on the court by the sponsors. Kozlov was returning a wide serve on the deuce court in his quarterfinal match against Tommy Paul when he hit the BMW car.

The position of the car was questionable at best. It was only a matter of time before a player ran into it. Luckily, it was just damage to the car and no player was hurt.

Sponsors, in an attempt to get the maximum benefit out of their marketing dollars, resort to putting things on the court that is distracting to plays and could potentially hurt them.

In 2017, David Goffin hurt his ankle after sliding into a courtside loose tarp at the French Open. Goffin had to withdraw from the match.
