Nike Names 1-Million Sq. Ft. Building At Headquarters After Serena Williams

Nike has a named a 1-million-square-foot building at its headquarters in honor of 23-time grand slam champion Serena Williams. This fulfils Williams’ childhoom dreams of having a building at Nike with her name on it.

Serena Williams said:

When I was just a kid, I visited the Nike campus and I saw that athletes get buildings. After that visit, I knew I wanted two things: to be a Nike athlete and to have a building.

The Serena Williams building also has a theater named after her daughter Olympia. Other female athletes who have buildings at the Nike Campus are soccer player Mia Hamm and long-distance runner Joan Benoit Samuelson.

Serena Williams is one of the most accomplished female tennis players. She has won 23 singles grand slam titles and 14 doubles grand slam titles. She has also won four Olympic gold medals in her career.

Alcaraz Family Ready To Take Over Tennis, Naomi Osaka Learns New Tricks On Clay

Carlos Alcaraz won the Barcelona Open beating Pablo Carreño Busta in the final. Alcaraz beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals and Alex de Minaur in the semifinals. King Alcaraz has arrived and is here to stay. (ATP)

Jaime Alcaraz Garfia, the 10-year old brother of Carlos Alcaraz is also an excellent tennis player.

Andrey Rublev won the Barcelona Open beating Novak Djokovic 6-2 6-7 (4) 6-0 in the final. Djokovic ran out of energy in the third set and couldn’t keep up with Rublev. (ESPN)
