Who Coaches Coco Gauff? Is Her Dad Still Involved In Coaching?

Coco Gauff is currently coached by Jean-Christophe Faurel. Gauff has been working with Faurel since 2019. She also works with Patrick Mouratoglou, who works with many players including Stefanos Tsitsipas and Serena Williams.

Jean-Christophe Faurel is a former tennis player from France. Though he played professional tennis for a few years, his career didn’t take off.

When Coco Gauff was young, she was coached by her dad Corey. He gave up his career as a healthcare executive to focus on Gauff’s career. She enrolled at Patrick Mouratoglou Tennis Academy In Paris at age 10 after getting sponsorship to train there.

At a young age, Gauff’s talent was evident. She won the USTA Clay Court National 12-and-under title at age 10, becoming the youngest champion in the tournament’s history.

She won her first WTA title in 2019 at the Linz Open, becoming the youngest player to win a title since 2004. In 2021, she reached the quarterfinals of a grand slam for the first time at the French Open.

Gauff’s parents are both college athletes. Her father played basketball at Georgia State University and her mom was a track and field athlete at Florida State University.
