Iga Swiatek Switches To Tecnifibre Racquet

Iga Swiatek posted pictures on social media showing her practicing with a Tecnifibre racquet. She had previously used Prince racquets.

In recent years, Prince has had a tough time retaining top players. Other racquet makers such as Wilson, Babolat, Head, and Technifbre have been willing to pay athletes more to use their racquets.

It is not clear if Swiatek is testing out Technifibre or if she already has a sponsorship deal with the French racquet maker. Tecnifibre does not have any top women players using its racquets. Signing up a young and upcoming player such as Swiatek would give the company a great opportunity to market its racquets.

In 2018, Technifibre merged with Lacoste. The merger was expected to bring synergies and accelerate product development.
