French tennis Lucas Pouille has dumped his long time racquet partner Prince and moved to Babolat. Pouille will be using the Babolat Pure Drive racquet.

Players switch racquet brands because of financial reasons. Pouille probably got a better offer from Babolat than from Prince. With Pouille moving to Babolat, Prince only has one top pro using its racquet – John Isner.  

It appears that Pouille is continuing to use his old Prince Textreme Tour 100P racquet that is painted to appear like a Babolat Pure Drive.  Changing racquets can have a big impact on a player’s game.  It’s not uncommon for players to continue to use the old racquet after signing a racquet deal.

Pouille has also switched to Le Coq Sportif apparel and shoes. He was previously with Adidas. Fellow Frenchman Richard Gasquet also wears the Le Coq Sportif shoes.

Kiki Bertens is the highest-ranked female tennis player ever from the Netherlands.  So it is not surprising that many big-name sponsors have backed the Dutch player.

Unlike other top players, Kiki Bertens did not play much in the ITF junior tour. She received very little funding from the Dutch tennis federation. She turned pro in 2009.  She is an aggressive player from the baseline who can go toe to toe with anyone. 

While her favorite surface is clay, she has also had good results on hard courts. Though a grand slam title has so far eluded her, it is only a matter of time before she breaks through.  

Kiki Bertens married her physiotherapist Remko de Rijke in 2019.

Bertens signed an apparel and footwear sponsorship deal with Fila in 2019. Founded in Piedmont, Italy in 1911, the company is now based in Seoul, South Korea. She wears the Fila Axilus 2 Energized shoes on the court. 

Wilson

Bertens has a racquet deal with Wilson. Her current racquet is the Wilson Blade 98.

Peugeot

Automaker Peugeot signed up Bertens to appeal to young car buyers.  Bertens has appeared in ads promoting the brand.
