We have a replacement for the Hopman Cup, a mixed-gender team competition that was held as a warm-up for the Australian Open. The new tournament, called the United Cup, will be held for the first time between December 29, 2022, and January 8, 2023.

Each team will include up to four men and four women from 18 countries. Players participating in the tournament will get ATP and WTA ranking points. The total prize money for the inaugural season is $15 million. Each contest includes four singles matches and one mixed doubles match. The four singles matches include two between women and two between men.

Teams will qualify for the United Cup based on players’ ranking. Australia, as the host nation, gets automatic entry into the tournament.

Argentine tennis player Pedro Cachin had an incredible year in 2022 where he won four Challenger titles and reached the third round at the US Open. He also made his Top 60 rankings debut in 2022. In 2023, he won his first title at the Swiss Open.
