Who is Amanda Anisimova’s Coach?

Darren Cahill has been working with Amanda Anisimova at the start of 2022 and through the Australian Open. For now, it appears that Cahill’s partnership is short term and that Anisimova will retain the rest of her coaching team.

Alex Kuznetsov is currently coaching Amanda Anisimova. Anisimova is trying to rediscover the form that took her to the semifinals at the French Open in 2019 at age 17.

Alex Kuznetsov was Maria Sharapova’s hitting partner. He played on the men’s tour reaching a peak ranking of 120. He retired in 2016.

Prior the the 2019 US Open, her dad Konstantin Anisimov  passed away unexpectedly. He had been her longtime coach though she had worked with other coaches as well.

After her dad’s passing, Amanda Anisimova worked with  Carlos Rodriguez but that partnership didn’t last long. After that, she worked briefly with Andis Juška.

As a junior, Anisimova reached a peak ranking of world number 2. She won the 2017 US Open girls title’. After turning pro, she won her first title at the WTA title at the Copa Colsanitas in 2019 at age 17, becoming the youngest American to win a WTA title since Serena Williams in 1999.

Her family moved from New Jersey to Florida when Anisimova was young so she and her sister Maria can get better tennis training opportunities. Her sister Maria Anisimova played college tennis at the University of Pennsylvania.
