Weak ATP Response To Peng Shuai Situation Ridiculed By Top Players

The WTA tour announced that it will suspend all tournaments in China to protest in response to the Chinese crackdown on Peng Shuai after she made allegations against former vice-premier Zhang Gaoli. In contrast, the ATP response was muted. ATP said in a statement that the “situation a raises a serious concern” but announced no actions like the WTA.

ATP‘s response was quickly ridiculed by current and former tennis players.
