Gael Monfils Splits With Asics and Wilson, Signs With French Brand Decathlon

French brand Decathlon has signed up tennis showman Gael Monfils to an apparel, shoe and racquet deal. Monfils was previously wearing Asics shoes and apparel and playing with Wilson racquets.Monfils is expected to wear the Artengo line of clothes. Decathlon shared the news of the new partnership on social media.

Monfils is one of the most recognizable names in tennis. He has reached semifinals at grand slams twice in his career. In 2016, he reached his peak ranking of world number 6.

Though Monfils is in the twilight of his career, he is still one of the most popular athletes in the world. He is especially popular in France and on social media. Gael Monfils’ longtime racquet sponsor Wilson had a classy response on Twitter and wished him well.

Christian Garin Switches To Emporio Armani’s EA7 Apparel

Christian Garin has switched to Italian brand Emporio Armani’s EA7 brand apparel. Garin was previously sponsored by Adidas for apparel. Garin debuted his new Armani wear at the ATP Cup this week.

Christian Garin is currently in the Top 20 in world rankings. He is also Chile’s number 1 tennis player. In 2013, he won the junior French Open title beating Alexander Zverev. His best run at a grand slam was reaching the fourth round at the French Open and Wimbledon.

As Chile’s top tennis player, Garin is sought after by sponsors. Garin’s other sponsors include Wilson, Emporio Armani, Gillette, Powerade, and Banco de Chile.
