Nicholas Godsick and Ethan Quinn Win USTA Boys’ Doubles Title, Earn Wild Cards To The US Open

Nicholas Godsick and Ethan Quinn won the USTA boys’ title in Kalamazoo and earned wild cards to play in the doubles main draw at the 2022 US Open. The pair defeated Wimbledon boys doubles champions Sebastian Gorzny and Alex Michelsen 6-4, 6-0 in the final.

Nicholas “Nico” Godsick is the son of Tony Godsick, Roger Federer’s longtime agent. Not surprisingly, Federer has shown interest in Nico Godsick’s progress. Federer even showed up to watch Godsick play this year at Wimbledon.

Speaking of the opportunity to play at the US Open, Godsick said:

This is an unbelievable tradition, what USTA does with Kalamazoo. We’re super fortunate and honored to be able to get the wild card this year into the US Open. When we won, there was a little bit of disbelief. We’ve always played well together. Did we ever think we were going to win Kalamazoo when we first started on the court? Probably not. But here we are. And we’re just super, super excited.

Nico Godsick is currently ranked world number 23 in the junior rankings – his career-best ranking in the juniors. He has found better success in doubles than in singles.
