Portuguese tennis player Nuno Borges played college tennis at Mississippi State University. He was the SEC Player of the Year for three consecutive years between 2017 and 2019.

Though Borges found a lot of success in the Challenger circuit, he has struggled to qualify for ATP tournaments. In 2022, he qualified for the French Open main draw – his grand slam debut. In 2023, he won his biggest title at the Phoenix Challenger.

Tim van Rijthoven, who had never won an ATP match until then, won the ‘s-Hertogenbosch title beating a number of seeded players including world number 2, Daniil Medvedev. Van Rijthoven has represented the Netherlands in Davis Cup matches but was virtually unknown on the ATP tour until his breakthrough wins at ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

He was introduced to tennis by his parents who are tennis coaches. He trained at the IMG Academy in Florida. In recent years, he has been coached by Richard Krajicek and later Paul Haarhuis. His sponsors are Indian Maharadja and Yonex. He has earned over half a million dollars in his career.
