Ricardo Piatti has been coaching Jannik Sinner since he was 13. Sinner also works with Andrea Volpin (secondary coach). Piatti has been an advisor and part-time coach to many top players including Maria Sharapova, Ivan Ljubičić, Novak Djokovic, and Milos Ranonic.
Piatti spent his early years at the Nick Bollettieri Academy, where he learned the tricks of the trade to be a coach. Nick Bollettieri Academy is a now part of IMG.

Sinner didn’t focus too much on competitive tennis as a junior. He started playing on the ITF tour in 2018. In 2019, at age 17, he won his first ATP Challenger title. He steadily moved up the rankings, reaching the Top to in 2021.
Jannik Sinner is often compared to Roger Federer for his calm demeanor. Many attribute Sinner’s excellent lateral movements on the tennis court to background his skiing.
