Dominic Thiem has parted ways with his management company Kosmos. Kosmos had been representing Thiem’s business interests for 18 months.
Speaking about the change, Thiem said:
My management will not make me a better player, nor will it kindle the fire in me, It doesn’t matter who manages me.
Dominic Thiem‘s career took a turn for the worse after the partnership with Kosmos began. Thiem injured his wrist and was out of the tour for nine months.
Thiem’s younger brother Moritz Them, who is 23, will take over as Thiem’s business manager. It’s not clear if this is a stop-gap arrangement or a long-term plan.
Kosmos recently pulled out of its commitment to managing Davis Cup for 25 years. Reports indicate that the company is in financial trouble and defaulted on its obligations to Davis Cup.
