Jannik Sinner Hires Former Italian Tennis Player Simone Vagnozzi As His New Coach

Jannik Sinner has hired former Italian player Simone Vagnozzi as his new coach. He recently split with his longtime coach Riccardo Piatti. Simone Vagnozzi  retired from professional tennis in 2015. He reached a career-high singles ranking of 161 and a doubles ranking of 74.

Speaking of his former coach Piatti, Sinner said

I will always look back the time we shared fondly,” said the 20-year-old Italian, who last appeared at the Australian Open. “I would like to thank Riccardo [and Piatti academy team members] Dalibor, Claudio, Andrea, Cristian and Gaia for everything they have done for me since the beginning of my career until today

Riccardo especially, he taught me many things that will forever remain a part of my tennis.

Sinner is shaking up his team to improve his game and win grand slams. Though Sinner has reached the quarterfinals of a grand slam twice, he has struggled to advance further.
