Alexander Zverev Becomes Rolex Ambassador, Fans Have Questions For Rolex

Alexander Zverev announced on Instagram that he is now an ambassador for Rolex. Rolex is very active on the tennis circuit, sponsoring a number of tournaments and players.

There’s no watch that tells the history of tennis better than @rolex. Feel honored and proud to join @rolex on this incredible journey!😊 #perpetual

-Alexander Zverev

Rolex is Zverev’s first new endorsement deal since his ex-girlfriend Olga Sharypova accused him of domestic abuse. Zverev has denied the allegations although Sharypova provided evidence of the abuse.

A few users on social media expressed frustration that a top brand like Rolex would sponsor a player accused of domestic abuse. Zverev has faced limited financial damage from the abuse allegations.

Earlier this year, Zverev split with agency TEAM8, which is owned by Roger Federer. His business affairs are now managed by his friend, Sergei Bubka.

Rolex sponsors players such as Roger Federer, Dominic Thiem, Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Grigor Dimitrov. The company is also an official partner at all 4 grand slams and the ATP finals.
