Maria Sharapova Buys Five Acre Ranch In Summerland For $8.6 Million

Maria Sharapova has bought a five-acre ranch in the city of Summerland in Santa Barbara County for $8.6 million. The ranch sits on a hilltop and overlooks the Pacific Ocean.

The property features three standalone bedrooms, a five stall horse barn, and lush lawns and gardens. The listing for the property says that the property has its own private well and storage for 15,000 gallons of water.

Sharapova will have very wealthy neighbors. Billionaire Riley Bechtel bought the neighboring 237-acre estate recently for $63 million. TV star Ellen DeGeneres and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt also own properties in the area.

When Pablo Carreno Busta Lost His Cool At The 2019 Australian Open

Pablo Carreno Busta comes across as a calm and cool player. But at the 2019 US Open, he lost his cool after losing his 4th round match against Kei Nishikori in a 5th set tiebreak, 76(8), 64, 67(4), 46, 67(8).

Busta had an argument with a chair umpire over a challenge in the fifth set tiebreak, which he went on to lose.

Busta had a warm exchange with Nishikori at the end of the match but lost his composure shortly thereafter. He threw his bags on the court and yelled in anger.

To be fair to PCB, he apologized for his behavior when he met with the press.

Nishikori retired during his next round match against Novak Djokovic.
