China’s up-and-coming talent Shang Juncheng was recently featured in Harper’s Bazaar China. He is quickly becoming the face of the country’s next generation of male tennis players.

The 2024 season has been a breakout year for the 18-year-old. Juncheng made history in 2024 by winning his first ATP Tour title, becoming only the second Chinese man ever to do so. His success didn’t start there—he also reached the third round of the U.S. Open, marking his best Grand Slam performance to date. 

Shang Juncheng trains at the prestigious IMG Academy in Florida, where he lives and hones his skills. His athletic pedigree runs deep: his father, Shang Yi, is a former professional footballer in China, while his mother, Wu Na, is a world champion in table tennis.
