Retired tennis star Michaella Krajicek and her partner Jelle Sels are expecting their second child. She shared the news on Instagram with photos and a message. The couple has a son who was born in 2021.

Michaëlla Krajicek retired from tennis in 2015. She won three singles titles and five doubles titles in her career. Her best singles grand slam result came at the 2007 Wimbledon Championships where she reached the quarterfinals. She reached two grand slam semifinals in doubles in her career. 

She is the younger half-sister of former Wimbledon Champion Richard Krajicek. She currently lives in Prague, Czech Republic. Her partner Jelle Sels is also a professional tennis player. He reached a peak ranking of world number 127 in 2022.

Another mom tennis player is back on the tour. Former doubles world number 1 Barbora Strýcová is playing doubles with Hsieh Su-wei.

Strýcová hasn’t played in more than two years. During that time she gave birth to her son Vincent. But she is back with her former doubles partner Hsieh Su-wei. The doubles pair was popular among tennis fans before the break.

Strycova has been working hard on her fitness the last few months to get back on the tour. In 2019, she won her only grand slam title in doubles at Wimbledon with Hsieh Su-wei.

Her best singles result also came that same year when she reached the semifinals at Wimbledon. She won the bronze medal in doubles at the 2016 Rio Olympics with Lucie Šafářová.
