It’s A Girl For Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka is expecting a baby girl. Though Osaka shared the pregnancy news a while back, this is the first time she has revealed the baby’s gender. The baby is due in June or July of 2023.

Osaka had previously said that she knew the baby’s gender but her boyfriend Cordae wanted to wait until after the birth of the baby to find out the gender.

Osaka shared the news with photos on social media. The four-time grand slam champion plans to return to tennis at the 2024 Australian Open after the pregnancy.

Naomi Osaka is a former world number 1 and is one of the most marketable female athletes in the world. She is known for her social activism on and off the court. She has supported the Black Lives Matter movement and has led protests against police brutality.

Elena Rybakina In Head-To-Toe Sponsorship Deal With Yonex

Elena Rybakina has split with Adidas and now has a head-to-toe sponsorship with Yonex. Rybakina’s contract with Adidas ran out at the end of the year and the two parties couldn’t come to an agreement which led to the split.

Speaking of her changing clothing sponsors, Rybakina said:

I think everybody noticed that. Yeah, just happened here. But I’m very good with Adidas brand. It just I think not the first time when the player changes.

As of today, I really like Yonex. Yeah, happy to continue with them.

It’s surprising that Adidas decided not to continue the partnership with a Wimbledon champion and an up-and-coming player. Elena Rybakina is currently ranked world number 4 and is one of the very few players on tour who could beat the world number 1 Iga Swiatek.
