IMG To Represent Andy Murray

Andy Murray has signed up for the management Agency IMG. With Murray at the tail end of his career, this partnership focuses on the present and the future. In a statement, IMG said it will represent Murray’s commercial interests and will manage him with his longtime manager Matt Gentry. IMG also represents fellow Brit, Emma Raducanu.

Andy Murray’s current sports agency, 77 Sports Management, will discontinue representing tennis players and focus on soccer. The soccer business currently represents Ryan Porteous, Caroline Weir, Jack Harkness, Miller Thomson, Liam McFarlane, and Jamie Gullan.

Speaking about the new partnership, Max Eisenbud, SVP and Head of tennis clients at IMG said:

Andy has built a legacy in tennis that has not only shaped the sport but also defined its place in culture. We’re thrilled to have him join the IMG family and work together to expand his reach and influence across multiple businesses.

Andy Murray, a three-time grand slam champion, is one of the most marketable athletes in the UK. IMG will look to new lucrative partnerships, as it has done with Emma Raducanu.

Brandon Nakashima has switched to Yonex racquets. He was previously playing with the Babolat Pure Strike racquet.. Since the switch, he has struggled on the court. It’s not clear if it’s related to the racquet change.

He ended 2022 on a high by winning the Next Gen ATP Finals. He also won the 2022 San Diego title but his 2023 results so far have been underwhelming.

Nakashima briefly played college tennis at the University of Virginia before deciding to turn pro. His best grand slam result came at Wimbledon in 2022 where he reached the fourth round.
