Brands That Sponsor Dominic Thiem

Most tennis fans will agree that Austrian  Dominic Thiem is a star.  Since arriving on the ATP tour in 2011, he has beaten the Big Three – Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. 

He won his maiden grand slam at the 2020 US Open. He is also well-liked by fellow players and fans. Thiem’s powerful groundstrokes, with a signature single-handed backhand, is a pleasure to watch on any surface.

Sponsors have lined up behind Theim, who along with Sascha Zverev and Stefanos Tsistsipas, is likely to be the face of tennis when Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic retire. These brands will be aware that their client regularly connects with a highly engaged audience on social media.  Though Thiem has fewer followers than other popular tennis players, Hookit data indicates that Thiem’s promoted posts drive significantly more value for brands per follower than many of his rivals

Thiem uses the third-generation Babolat Pure Strike racquets on the tennis courts.  Theim has worked with Babolat to fine-tune the racket to maximize his game on the court.  Babolat also sponsors Rafael Nadal.

Kia

Korean carmaker Kia has sponsored Thiem since 2018.  As a gift to his fans in Austria, Kia live streams Thiem’s matches.

Adidas

Adidas, based in Herzogenaurach, Germany is  Thiem’s apparel sponsor.  Adidas is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe, and the second-largest in the world, after Nike.  Thiem wears Adidas shirts, shorts and shoes. Interestingly, his rivals Sascha Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas are also sponsored by Adidas.

Rolex

Swiss luxury watch-maker, which is the Official Time Keeper at many tournaments including Wimbledon sponsors Dominic Thiem.  Rolex also sponsors Roger Federer, Karen  Kachanov and Grigor Dimitrov. In 2019, Rolex released an ad featuring Thiem titled “An Enduring Partnership”.

Red Bull

In 2018, Red Bull signed a sponsorship deal with Dominic Thiem.  It’s not surprising the world’s most popular energy drink based in Austria will sign the country’s most popular tennis player to endorse its product.

UniCredit Bank Austria

UniCredit Bank Austria is the number one bank in Austria.  Thiem became the bank’s brand ambassador in 2017.
