Márton Fucsovics, nicknamed Marci, is the best tennis player to come out of Hungary in more than 30 years. Fucsovics won the 2010 junior Wimbledon singles title and was the number 1 ranked junior in the world in 2010. On the ATP tour, he reached a career-high ranking of world number 31 in 2019. His best grand slam result came at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships where he reached the quarterfinals.
When he was young, Fucsovics was very good at basketball but eventually chose to pursue tennis. His idols while growing up were Marat Safin and Roger Federer. He is a fan of the Barcelona football team.
Fucsovics won his 1st ATP Tour title in Geneva in 2018, becoming the first Hungarian to win an ATP title since 1982. His current sponsors include MOL Nyrt, Hydrogen, Yonex, Appeninn Holding, Red Bull and Hovany. He has earned more than $6 million in his career.
