Simona Halep and her husband Toni Iuruc are getting divorced less than a year after getting married. Iuruc confirmed the news of the divorce. The couple has prenup in place, so the divorce will not involve splitting the millions in assets that Halep and Iuruc own.
As Halep traveled around the world for the most part of the year, the distance between the two grew and has been blamed for the breakup. This is Iuruc’s third divorce.
Simona Halep is a two-time grand slam champion and a former world number 1. She won the 2018 French Open and 2019 Wimbledon titles. Halep is the first Romanian woman to win a Wimbledon singles title and reach the world’s number one ranking.
