Serena Williams has raised $111 million for her venture capital arm Serena Ventures. The funds will be invested in companies that have founders with diverse points of view and think unconventionally.

Serena Ventures has invested in over 60 companies according to the company’s blog. Its investments include Propel, Masterclass, Daily Harvest, and Cointracker.

I have been so impressed with Serena Ventures and the extraordinary mentorship and support they provide entrepreneurs. Serena has built an exceptional team of diverse experts with branding expertise and strategic advice to help founders as they navigate building their companies. With unique backgrounds and experiences, Serena Ventures brings an incredible network — a network of which I am honored to be a part of. I am excited to support their growth.

Serena Williams is married to Alexis Ohanian, who co-founded Reddit. Though Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian keep their start up investments separate, Williams like having her husband as a sounding board for ideas.
