Tennis fans know Rafael Nadal has always been a Real Madrid fan. So, its’ not surprising that he tweeted support for Karim Benzema to win the Ballon d’Or. The Ballon d’Or award is given to the best soccer player in the world based as judged by a panel of international sports journalists.

Speaking of Karim Benzema, Nadal said

My admiration as a player, the commitment to sports and professionalism at his age. Good luck and my support for the 2021 Golden Ball

Though his uncle Toni Nadal played for Barcelona, Rafael Nadal and many members of his family support Real Madrid.

Nadal pulled out of the 2021 US Open due to injuries. He is recovering after treatment on his foot. He is expected to return to action at the Australian Open.
