Thiem Splits With Thomas Muster

Dominic Thiem has split with former world number one Thomas Muster after just two weeks.  Thiem will stick with his current coaching team consisting of Nicolas Massu and his dad Wolfgang.

Thiem said, “We ended our working relationship. It did not fit. Its easy like that. It is just about work. We get along well personally and we said in the beginning. If anything is not alright, we will tell each other”.

Speaking of Thiem’s decision, Muster said, “”He’s a fine guy and likes to learn a lot. But he has also got some shortcomings he has to work on if he wants to be at the top. Why he has chosen differently – I know why, but I don’t want to say the details.
