IMG Signs Agreement To Represent Denis Shapovalov

IMG has signed rising Canadian tennis star Denis Shapovalov to a worldwide marketing and management agreement.  IMG Senior VP Max Eisenbud will represent Shapovalov.  Eisenbud also represents retired tennis player Maria Sharapova.  Shapovalov previously did not have an agency representing him.

Shapovalov is among the top young tennis players coming out of Canada. With Bianca Andreescu winning the 2019 Australian Open, brands are looking for the next star to breakthrough on the big stage.

IMG also represents Novak Djokovic, Serena and Venus Williams, Naomi Osaka, and Maria Sharapova.  IMG previously represented Roger Federer but Federer formed his own agency TEAM8 with his agent Tony Godsick.

Though IMG’s name is well known in tennis, IMG’s tennis group was acquired by talent agency WME in 2014. The agency goes by the name Endeavor and represents sports stars as well as artists and movie stars. Endeavor owns the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the Miss Universe competition.

Diego Schwartzman’s Shoes – What Shoes Does He Wear?

If there are height categories in tennis just as there weight categories in boxing, Diego Schwartzman would be the king of the tennis world.  At only 5 ft 7 inches, Schwartzman consistently beats players who are a foot taller than him. That’s because his return game is so good that his opponents are put on the backfoot on their service games.

Schwartzman has an apparel and shoe sponsorship deal with Fila. He currently wears the Fila Axilus 2  Energized shoes on the court.

Schwartzman’s game best suits the clay court. But he has also produced good results on hard courts. He was named after former Argentinian football player Diego Maradona. He reached the semifinals at the 2020 French Open, becoming the shortrest player to achieve that feat in more than 40 years.

Diego Schwartzman’s Shoes

Movement around the court is a big part of Schwartzman’s game and the Fila Axilus 2 Energized shoes give him the confidence to sprint freely around the court.   The shoes come in two versions – one designed for hard court and one for the clay.

The outsole of the Fila Axilus 2 Energized is durable and comes with a 6-month durability guarantee.  This guarantee will come in handy for players who are tough on their shoes on the court.  The shoes provide excellent traction on all surfaces.  You can start and stop comfortably with these shoes.

Fila Axilus 2 is designed for speed and comfort.  The shoes have rubber cushioning in the midsole. The shoes come in a few colors, so you can choose your colors to look your best on the court.
