Nicole Gibbs Announces Retirement

American tennis player Nicole Gibbs announced her retirement on social media.  27-year old Gibbs reached a career-high ranking of 68 in July 2016.

Gibbs played college tennis at Stanford. In 2012, she won both the singles and doubles NCAA titles. She won 7 ITF titles in her career. Her best grand slam result came at the Australian Open and the US Open, where she reached the third round.

Gibbs recovered from oral cancer in 2019. She plans to enroll in law school in the fall.

Karolina Muchova’s Top Sponsors: Who’s on Her Team?

Karolina Muchova started playing tennis at age 7 and committed to the game full-time at age 12.  Her father Josef Mucha played football in the Gambrinus liga. In 2023, she reached the finals at the French Open where she lost to Iga Swiatek, and the semifinals at the US Open. 

Muchova’s first big breakthrough on the big stage came at the 2021 Australian Open where she reached the semifinals. Muchova has a lot of variety in her game – she can hit drop shots, lobs, and sliced backhands to break up the opponent’s rhythm. Her current sponsors include Adidas, Head, and Porsche.

She is an ambassador for the luxury automaker Porsche
