Brazilian Tennis Star Beatriz Haddad Maia Drops Joma, Moves To Asics

Beatriz “Bia” Haddad Maia recently made a significant move from Joma to Asics, a transition anticipated as she expressed gratitude to Joma in a social media post.

In her newfound partnership with Asics, Beatriz Haddad Maia will wear Asics apparel and the renowned Asics Gel Resolution 9 tennis shoe. This collaboration is not only fitting but also a testament to her historic achievement as the first Brazilian player to break into the top 10 in singles rankings and secure a spot in the top 10 in doubles.

The choice of Asics is a natural fit for the accomplished player, who reached the singles semifinals at the 2023 French Open, marking her best grand slam result to date. Haddad Maia‘s journey hasn’t been without challenges, including a 2019 doping incident that led to a 10-month suspension. However, she used this setback as fuel for a remarkable comeback, entering the top 100 for the first time in 2021.

Notably, at the 2022 Australian Open, she made it to the women’s doubles final alongside her partner Anna Danilina, showcasing her resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
