Monica Puig And Nathan Rakitt Marry In San Juan

2016 Olympic tennis gold medalist Monica Puig married her longtime partner Nathan Rakitt in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The couple was engaged in October 2021. Puig shared the wedding news on social media with pictures.

Tennis introduced the couple together – they first met at a camp in Atlanta many years ago and had been friends before dating. Rakitt played college tennis at Georgia Institute of Technology where he was the captain of the tennis team.

Puig won two singles titles in her career. She reached a peak singles ranking of world number 27 in 2016. Her best grand slam result came at Wimbledon in 2013 where she reached the fourth round. She retired from tennis after a struggle with repeated injuries.

Corentin Moutet Loses French Federation Funding After Repeated Bad Behavior

Bad behavior finally caught up with Frenchman Corentin Moutet after the French Tennis Federation decided to cut its relationship with him. Moutet is set to lose the Federation’s financial, coaching, and training assistance.

Recently, Corentin Moutet was involved in an argument with Adrian Andreev at the end of the match. Players were shoving each other and arguing, and the umpire had to de-escalate the situation. Earlier this year, he defaulted from a tournament in Adelaide. He has been fined multiple times for racquet abuse on the court. 

Despite the bad behavior, Moutet reached his career-high ranking of world number 51 in November 2022. He won two challenger titles in Lyon and Szczeci. As a junior, Moutet earned a peak ranking of world number 7.
