Lorenzo Musetti Tames Matteo Berrettini For Naples Title, Holger Rune Hires Patrick  Mouratoglou

Lorenzo Musetti beat an injured Matteo Berrettini to win the title in Naples. This is Musetti’s second ATP title. (ATP Tour)

Felix Auger-Aliassime beat Sebastian Korda to win the European Open title. The Canadian is now well positioned (but not 100% certain) to make the year-end finals in Turin. Auger-Aliassime who went 0-8 in his first eight ATP finals, has won three of the last four finals (ESPN)

Holger Rune easily beat Stefanos Tsitsipas to win the Stockholm Open. Rune overpowered Tsistipas, who had won the Stockholm title in 2018.

Jessica Pegula won her first WTA 1000 title beating Maria Sakkari in Guadalajara. Pegula beat four grand slam champions on her way to the final. (BBC)

It has been a bad year for Simona Halep. She underwent nose surgery and shut down her 2022 season. In a few weeks, she was found guilty of doping and was provisionally suspended. In the meantime, her coach Patrick Mouratoglou announced that he will be working with Holger Rune. (ESPN)
