Nick Kyrgios Undergoes Knee Surgery To Repair Torn Meniscus

Nick Kyrgios has undergone knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus and cyst and will be out of action until March. He is targeting his return at Indian Wells. He will be recovering at his home in Canberra and spending time with his family.

Kyrgios decided not to take the court at the Australian Open at the advice of his physio Will Maher. A routine MRI revealed the damage to the knee and Kyrgios decided to undergo surgery rather than risk his knee by playing at the Australian Open.

After an impressive 2022 season in which he reached the singles finals at Wimbledon and won the Australian Open doubles titles, with fellow Aussie  Thanasi Kokkinakis, it was a disappointment for Nick Kyrgios to withdraw from his home slam. Tue to his style, though he couldn’t play at the Australian Open, he has been very active on social media.
