Ymer’s father Wondwosen was a professional runner, so he has good athletic genes to back him up. His Idol growing up was soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He trains at the Good to Great Tennis Academy in Stockholm, Sweden.
He has an older brother Elias who also is also a professional tennis player.
