Lucas Pouille and his wife, Clemence announced on Instagram that they are expecting a baby.  A number of fellow tennis players including Novak Djokovic, Jack Sock, Karen Khachanov, and Jeremy Chardy congratulated the couple.

Pouille and Clemence married last year and just a days ago celebrated their first wedding anniversary.

Pouille underwent elbow surgery in July. Though he has resumed practice, he will be missing the French Open as he is still not fit enough for competitive play.

Pouille said, “Having to pull out of Roland Garros when you are a French player is heart-breaking. But I have to be realistic and reasonable, the priority is to ensure my elbow heals completely.”
