Western & Southern Open, popularly known as the Cincinnati Masters will move to Charlotte, North Carolina by 2026. The tournament was bought by Beemok Capital Group which is controlled by billionaire Ben Navarro.
Discussions are underway for a $400 million tennis complex in Charlotte . $132 million of those funds will come from local public funding through the city.
The tennis complex will have 4 stadiums and 40 tennis courts including hard, clay, and indoor courts. The 50-acre tennis stadium was a seating capacity of 12,400.

In addition to hosting the Masters event, the tournament plans to conduct other lower-level tennis tournaments, concerts, festivals, and corporate events. A final decision on the move is expected in late summer.
Cincinnati Masters has a long history in the city. The first event was held in 1899 and it is the oldest tennis tournament played in the original city.
