Sofia Kenin Signs Sponsorship Deal With KT Tapes

American tennis star Sofia Kenin has partnered with KT Tape, a company known for its elastic tape that relieves pain.

KT Tapes are latex-free and last through sweat and humidity. Athletes use the tape to support muscles, tendons, and ligaments without restricting their movement. The company makes a number of tapes – KT Tape Original, Gentle, Pro, Pro Extreme, and Pro X.

Sofia Kenin was the 2020 WTA Player of the Year. She won her first grand slam title at the 2020 Australian Open. She also reached the finals at the French Open that year. 

Sofia Kenin was born in Moscow but her parents moved to the US a few months after she was born. While growing up, Kenin’s idols were Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova. 

Kenin plays an aggressive baseline game with a lot of variety. Her opponents have praised her determination on the court as one of her best traits.

Thanasi Kokkinakis was born in Adelaide, Austalia. Both his parents are from Greece and Kokkinakis holds both Australian and Greek citizenship.

Kokkinakis had an excellent junior career in which his ranking peaked at world number 10. He reached two junior grand slam finals – at the Australian Open and the US Open.

Though he had some good wins on the ATP tour, his career has been interrupted by frequent injuries. When Kokkinakis is fit, he can go toe-to-toe with any top player.

Safety Culture partnered with Kokkinakis in 2021.  The company guides companies to improve their safety and quality assurance practices. Kokkinakis wears the Safety Culture logo on his shirt.

After Nike dropped Kokkinakis, he bought a $6 shirt from Kmart to wear for his matches. Safety Culture heard the story and stepped up to be his sponsor.
