Carlos Alcaraz Is Now A Rolex Ambassador

Carlos Alcaraz Garfia is now a Rolex ambassador, joining the likes of Roger Federer, Alexander Zverev, and Dominic Theim. The Swiss luxury watchmaker is betting that Alcaraz will be a future grand slam champion.

Carlos Alcaraz is often compared to Rafael Nadal. His powerful game can trouble even the top players. He has won one title so far in his career. His best grand slam result was reaching the quarterfinals at the US Open in 2021.

Rolex is a well-known brand in tennis. The company is a sponsor at all four grand slams and several popular ATP tournaments. 

Rolex was originally founded in London by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis as Wilsdorf and Davis. The company changed its name to Rolex in 1908. After World War I, the company moved its operations to Geneva, Switzerland due to unfavorable business conditions in the UK.

Since 1960, the company has been owned by Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, a private family trust. The company  has more than $5 billion in revenue.

Alexei Popyrin Signs Sponsorship Deal With Fila

Alexei Popyrin has parted ways with Nike and will wear Fila clothing and apparel. Fila shared the news of the new partnership on social media.

Popyrin has been steadily climbing up the rankings on the ATP tour after an impressive junior career in which he won the 2017 boys’ French Open title and reached a peak ranking of world number 2.

In 2021, he won his first title in Singapore and racked up the biggest win of his career against Stefanos Tsitsipas (via retirement). He has earned over $2 million in his career.

Alexei Popyrin was born in Sydney, Australia to Russian parents. He is fluent in English, Russian, and Spanish. He has been training at the Mouratoglou Academy since 2017.
