Diego Schwartzman Becomes Ambassador for High Impact Athletes, Pledges Money To Charity
Diego Schwartzman is the newest ambassador of the High Impact Athletes (HIA), an organization that works with athletes to donate money to effective charities to ensure that the money is well spent. High impact focuses on two main causes – Extreme Poverty and Environmental Impact.
All High Impact Athletes pledge to donate at least 2% of their earnings to charity. Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jan-Lennard Struff, John Millman, Rajeev Ram, Joe Salisbury, and Jordan Thompson are a few of the well-known tennis players who are part of HIA.
Schwartzman reached the finals at the French Open in 2020. He was part of the Argentina team that reached the semifinals in the Davis Cup in 2015.
At 5 ft 7 in, Schwartzman is one of the shortest players on the men’s tour. His nickname is El Peque, which means “Shorty” in Spanish. But he makes up for his lack of height with great speed on the court and clean hitting on both sides. Because of his game, his best results have come on clay.
