Luxury watchmaker Rolex has signed rising Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner as a global ambassador. Sinner shared the news on social media with a picture.
Rolex signed up Canadian Bianca Andreescu late last year after her success in 2019. In addition to sponsoring top players such as Roger Federer and Milos Raonic, Rolex is also the official time-keeper at grand slam tournaments.
Japanese tennis star Yoshihito Nishioka has quietly built a name for himself on the ATP tour. Sponsors see Nishioka as a young Japanese player who could follow in the footsteps of Kei Nishikori. Nishioka’s dad is a tennis coach. Nishioka started playing tennis at age 4. His favorite player when growing up was a fellow lefty, Marcelo Rios.
In 2018, he won his ATP singles first title at the Shenzhen Open, His second title came at the Korea Open in 2022. At 5′ 7″, Nishioka is one of the shortest players on the tour. But with his powerful groundstrokes, he can keep up with players who are more than a foot taller than him.
Nishioka is represented by Topnotch management. Topnotch also represents other tennis players such as John Isner and Reilly Opelka. His sponsors are Yonex, Morinaga, and Miki House.
Nishioka has a racquet and apparel deal with Yonex. He uses the Yonex VCORE 98 racquet powered by Polytour Spin 125 strings.
Morinaga is a Japanese company that makes chocolates. The company has been in business for more than 100 years.
