New Mom Angelique Kerber To Return To Tennis In 2024

Three-time grand slam champion Angelique Kerber will return to tennis at the 2024 Australian Open after giving birth to a daughter in February 2023. She has been engaged to Franco Bianco.

Women’s tennis has several mothers making or continuing their comebacks in 2024 including Naomi Osaka, Caroline Wozniacki, and Elina Svitolina.

Grass has been Kerber’s best surface. She won the Wimbledon title in 2018 and made the final there in 2016. She also reached the semifinals at Wimbledon two times. She won the Silver medal in singles at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She was ranked world number one for 34 weeks.

Angelique Kerber will be 36 years old when she returns to the tour in 2024. But with her speed and athleticism, she can still be competitive on the tour with her counterpunching style of tennis.
