Florida Native CoCo Gauff Comes Out Strongly Against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” Law

Florida native Coco Gauff came out strongly against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law. The law prohibits the discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity in schools.

Speaking about the law, Gauff said:

I think it’s important to have those tough conversations and from the people that I spoke to who are part of the community, it definitely makes a difference when you don’t have to hide who you are.

Coco Gauff has been outspoken on many social issues. She has been a strong supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. She even gave a passionate speech at a Black Lives Matter rally in her hometown.

The Best Men’s Tennis Player Who Never Won A Title

 Julien Benneteau reached a career-high ranking of world number 25 but he never won a singles title. In a career spanning 18 years, he had wins over many top players including Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal.

For 17 straight years, he qualified for at least one grand slam every year. But he could not win a singles title. That  despite reaching a final at an ATP event 10 times.

He won the doubles title at the French Open and was part of the team that won the Davis Cup for France. He won the bronze medal in doubles at the London Olympics. He won 12 doubles titles in his career.

Benneteau couldn’t bring his best tennis to the 10 finals he played. Most of his final losses were in three sets. Benneteau couldn’t handle the clutch moments in those matches.

 Julien Benneteau made more than $9 million in his career. He is currently the Fed Cup captain for France.
