Elena Rybakina Splits With Stefano Vukov (Who Was Abusive To Her)

Update – Elena Rybakina has officially parted ways with her coach, Stefano Vukov after the 2024 US Open. The decision comes amid growing speculation and rumors of emotional strain, with some sources suggesting Rybakina may have endured mistreatment during her time working with Vukov. It’s reported that the tennis star is now focusing on both psychological recovery and healing from a physical injury.

Elena Rybakina is coached by Stefano Vukov. The two have been working together since 2019 and have accomplished great results including winning the 2022 Wimbledon title and reaching the 2023 Australian Open final.

But Stefano Vukov has received scathing reviews from fans and tennis pundits for the way he treats Rybakina during matches. He can often be seen yelling angrily at her. Some have even called the player-coach relationship toxic and have called Rybakina to fire Vukov.

But Rybakina has said that Vukov is a passionate coach and is a valuable part of her team and that she respects his opinions.

Vukov is a former Croatian tennis player who competed on the ITF Futures tour for a while but didn’t find much success.

Andrey Rublev, Grigor Dimitrov and Wesley Koolhof Elected To ATP Player Advisory Council

Andrey Rublev and Grigor Dimitrov will be part of the ATP Player Advisory Council. This group is the voice of the players on tour and has the ability to make tour-wide decisions.

Here are the newly elected members

  • 1-50 Singles: Andrey Rublev & Grigor Dimitrov
  • 51-100 Singles: Pedro Martinez & Bernabe Zapata Miralles
  • 1-25 Doubles: Wesley Koolhof
  • 1-75 Doubles: Harri Heliovaara
  • At-Large: Pedro Cachin & Matt Ebden
  • Coach Representative: Daniel Vallverdu
  • Alumni Representative: Nicolas Pereira

The three big names on the list are Andrey Rublev, Grigor Dimitrov, and Wesley Koolhof (who finished as doubles world number 1 in 2022). The members are elected by the group they represent – Rublev and Dimitrov were elected by players ranked between 1 and 50 on the singles tour.

Novak Djokovic was in the Council but left the position to start a competing The Professional Tennis Players Association which he founded with Vasek Pospisil.
