Bianca Andreescu Drops Octagon, Signs With IMG

Bianca Andreescu has dropped her management company Octagon and signed up with IMG. Andreescu has struggled with injuries since her historic US Open win in 2019.

Andreescu also split with her coach Sylvain Bruneau recently. She also hired well-known trainer Abdul Sillah earlier this year. Sillah worked with Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka in the past.

Andreescu and IMG shared the news on social media. IMG represents many tennis players including Denis Shapovalov, Victoria Azarenka, and Taylor Fritz.

IMG is a global sports, events, and talent management company. It has been owned by Endeavor and Silver Lake Partners since 2013. In addition to representing top athletes, the company also owns a number of events. IMG has owned the Miami Open since 1999.
