Belinda Bencic announced on Instagram that she is pregnant. She shared the news with a picture of her and her boyfriend holding baby shoes with the caption, “Expecting our little miracle soon! ✨🍼 We can’t wait to meet you”.

Bencic has been dating Martin Hromkovic since 2018. Hromkovic is also her trainer and is 15 years older than Bencic. Like Bencic, he is of Slovak descent. He played soccer for OFC Russel Gabčíkovo and retired in 2019.

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won the gold medal in singles and a silver medal in doubles. She reached the semifinals at the US Open in 2019 and reached a career-high ranking of world number 4 in 2020. She has won 8 WTA titles in her career.
