Andy Murray and his wife Kim Sears welcomed their fourth child this week. Murray prefers to keep his family life private and we do not know if the child is a boy or a girl. . It was not widely known that the couple was expecting their fourth child.

Murray’s supporters on social media were surprised by the news.  They were quick to point out that with the fourth child, the Murray family is now as big as Roger Federer’s. One by one, Federer’s records are being overtaken. Novak Djokovic passed Roger Federer for the all-time weeks at world number 1. Rafael Nadal won his 20th grand slam at the French Open last year and equaled Federer’s record.

The couple already has two daughters, Sophia and Edie, and a son Teddy. Kim Sears prefers to stay out of the spotlight and did a pretty good job of hiding her pregnancy.

Andy Murray pulled out of the ATP event in Dubai this week to spend time with his expanded family.  The couple has not released any pictures of the baby.

Murray has been struggling to recover his form after undergoing hip resurfacing surgery. His ranking has dropped to 118 in the world. He has been competing in Challenger events to boost his ranking.
