Joe Salisbury Wins Mixed Doubles Title At French Open With Desirae Krawczyk

Joe Salisbury and his American partner Desirae Krawczyk won the mixed doubles title at Roland Garros. They beat the Russian team of Aslan Karatsev and Elena Vesnina 2-6, 6-4, 10-5 in the final.

This is Salibury’s second grand slam title. He won the 2020 Australian Open doubles title with American Rajeev Ram.

Salisbury is the first British winner at Roland Garros since 1982 when John Lloyd won the mixed doubles title with Wendy Turnbull.

Salisbury played college tennis at the University of Memphis. Since turning pro, he has focused on doubles.
